The apprentices in industrial areas attain extensive MS
Office knowledge which is tailored to their special requirements. The
training contents meet the requirements of the Chamber of Industry and
Commerce (IHK) and furthermore are aligned with the respective corporate
objectives individually. Summarized briefly the following skills are
obtained:
- Documents which are related to the apprenticeship can be prepared and
reprocessed with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- The documentation of the internal job assignment (for
final examination) can be
created in professionally structured
form with Word
- The contents of the internal job assignment (for final examination) can be presented in professionally
structured form with PowerPoint

The scope of training consists of
39 teaching units with 45 minutes each. This corresponds to 5 full days
of training which, as a rule, are spread over 2 weeks in a row. The
primary training sections are approximately partitioned as follows:
- 2.5 days Word
- 1.0 days PowerPoint
- 1.5 days Excel

Methods |

| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
- Training based on interactive dialogue
Under the overall control of the trainer the respective knowledge
will be imparted to the trainees by way of continuous feedback and
thought-provoking impulses.
- Continuous reinforcement of self-esteem during the
interactive training
The answers of the trainees during the interactive training will
never be criticized by the trainer. In case of incorrect answers,
the trainee will be motivated to look at the problem from a
different angle or the group will be asked to reflect on the answer.
The trainer will make every effort to prevent a loss of face of the
trainees. The trainee will receive positive feedback if the answers
are correct or partly correct.
- Theory is explained by way of practical examples
If the trainees recognize the practical use, it will be easier to
accept the required theoretical phase. If the theory is explained by
way of practical examples, it will be easier understood.
- Practical exercises are carried out as tests throughout the
whole training programme
In order to apply a fair grading system for the practical part,
practical exercises will be carried out throughout the whole
training programme. In principle, every theoretical phase is
followed by a practical exercise e. g. for the practical Word-part
there will be no final test, but instead several individual tests.
If a trainee has the impression that the individual test is not
successful, he will realize that during the next theoretical phase a
better result can be achieved with a higher degree of attention.
- Reinforcement of self-esteem during the practical exercises
During the practical exercises the trainer moves from trainee to
trainee, shows interest in their work and praises a positive
approach already during the training phase. A wrong approach is not
criticized but instead eliminated by way of a short personal
intervention. By way of motivation every trainee should find an
acceptable solution for each problem which will result in a positive
feedback on the part of the trainer. In order to obtain fair grades,
the trainer will note the scope of individual assistance in addition
to personal impressions and detail considerations.
- The grading system is based on the results of oral and
practical exercises
The overall grade of the trainee is determined by the average
results of the oral and practical exercises. The oral results are
based on the feedback of the interactive training. The practical
results are based on the practical exercises which are carried out
during the whole training programme. If the trainee passes the
course a respective certificate will be issued.
- Use of various training media
In order to increase the dynamics of the lessons, a multitude of
training media will be used, such as explanations, interactive
dialogue, gestures (body language), beamer, whiteboard,
documentation and practical exercises.
- The general social educational approach
The general social educational approach has the aim that in key
phases of educational development young persons are no longer left to their fate. Nowadays,
young persons are rarely looked after and supported by the family as
both parents or a single parent have to work to earn a living. The
same situation is encountered in schools as crowded classrooms with
approximately 30 students rarely offer a chance to develop self-esteem
and a sense of security. Apart from the transfer of knowledge the
interactive training has the aim to offer in appropriate classrooms
with a maximum size of 12 trainees a group identity and a sense of
security, where every young person is respected and valued. The
trainer continuously reinforces the trainee, shows a sincere
interest in the answers during the training and the performance in
the practical exercises. Correct or partly correct answers and
exercises are always be praised in
order to reinforce the self-esteem and to increase the motivation.
